what is #sweatmode?

#sweatmode is a series of gameplay changes designed to make Call of Duty games more competitive and skill-rewarding.

Right now #sweatmode has only been made for Black Ops 2, but the ultimate plan is to make versions for other games as well.

Given the number and severity of these changes it may be easier to think of #sweatmode as almost a different game from the base game.

#sweatmode is developed by ghoulish (also known as ghoul3c or simply GHOUL) and playtested by mzry and Nova_avoN.

#sweatmode Black Ops 2

Core Changes & Additions:

•  Weapon restrictions - C4, Claymore, Riot Shield, Concussion, Shock Charge, Flash Grenade, ALL Launchers, ALL Shotguns, ALL LMGs, FAL, Executioner, SVU, XPR, Crossbow, Ballistic Knife, Combat Axe.

•  Scorestreaks disabled - This places more focus on a player's actual performance, not their ability to farm streaks.

•  Customized perks - All perks are removed and replaced by set perks, some of which have been modified from their default values.

•  Faster weapon switch and reload speed - Makes the tempo of gameplay significantly faster.

•  Weapon damage modifications - Headshots do 1.8x damage, body shots do 0.6x damage. This works out to ~1 less bullet to the head required to kill, and ~1 more to the body. There are more granular changes made on a per-weapon basis.

•  Dramatically decreased randomness - Flinch is disabled (except on snipers), sniper scope sway is disabled (with the caveat that you have to re-scope after firing), as well as any kind of weapon bob while moving.

•  Movement changes - Infinite sprint, no slow-down when landing from a jump, and some other minor movement changes to make movement overall faster and smoother than the default game settings.

•  Better wallbanging - Bullet damage through walls is boosted, encouraging map knowledge and good game-sense.

•  Teammate HUD waypoint - Every player on each team has a HUD waypoint, allowing their teammates to know where they are - even through walls. Enemy EMPs will disrupt this function.

•  HUD - Your health (as well as some other game-mode specific data) is displayed on your HUD. The base game health overlay effects are disabled for visibility purposes.
